RCN cable internet is down all the time!

Was wondering if anyone has had an outage on their RCN cable modem. Mine's been down since Tuesday. The TV cable works just fine, I've tried all the power cycling nonsense, but nothing works. Any news?

how did you even get RCN?

I'm dying to get rid of the Evil Empire (aka Time Warner), but there are no other cable options where I live. I keep calling RCN but they say they don't know if/when it will be available here in WT

I have time warner and I noticed I couldn't get online today during the storm because of modem issues and I unplugged the modem for about an hour while I cooked dinner and when I plugged it back in to my suprise it was working again.

My Time Warner crapped out today after the storm for over an hour, too.

Same question. Where do you get RCN? I thought the area between Prospect Heights and Windsor Terrace was carved into two territories, Cablevision and Time Warner. Unless your RCN is a private line.

The Cablevision/Time Warner/territory thing makes me so pissed. How on earth is that NOT a monopoly?!

Time Warner sucks ass. I'm not sure if this is true, but I think it is........that RCN services the new Time Warner building/stores. That's pathetic.

I don't want to be messing around with a dish, but I wish there were other alternatives
