What Happened on Park Place Tonight

Around 8:30 tonight I was leaving the Crunch and noticed many police vehicles blocking Park Place at the corner of Charlton/Flatbush. I assumed that something had happened at the 7th Avenue Station, but when I got over there NYPD had the sidewalk blocked with tape, and it looked as if there were a couple of officers standing around with very large guns. A bystander said it was a hostage situation.

Does anyone have more details?

Based on the above, I infer the aforementioned EDP (Emotionally Disturbed Person) was believed to be armed, and add that s/he was hopefully apprehended safely.

i walked into that scene coming out of the subway. from what i could gather, there was a man who lives there named seth who is known to be a bit off, and he started being threatening and people called the cops, and there was word of weapons, so then the TARU came. i saw him get carted to the ambulance in handcuffs, he was shouting things about cops violating his first amendment rights and yelling he didn't have a gun.
