1391 Bedford Avenue (at St. Marks)

I walked by this site recently, and wondered why it had not been developed yet.

Tonight, I did some digging and discovered (as a result of the Brownstoner articles linked below) that it is owned by a nearby church.

In my mind, this partially explains why it has been slow to be developed: Such properties are tax exempt.

i used to live on that block, on rogers. it's been like that for at least 6 years; there used to be scaffolding there.
