The writer of ILFA has annouced that the site will go dark in about a month:

It joins a long list of websites that are now dormant, or are now a mere shadow of their former selves: The Prospect Patch, Nostrand Park, etc.....

Like Rocky at the end of the first movie, I'm staggering around but somehow still on my feet. Here's the final ILFA neighborhood change roundup, which relies in no small part on some of the tips and rumors that circulate on Brooklynian.

Comments welcome, here or over at my place: http://ilovefranklinave.blogspot.com/2013/11/final-ilfa-roundup-70-new-businesses.html

Sad to see it go. It's sources like this that keep me informed about God's Country even though I live many, many miles away from the Old Home.

That's too bad. I wish someone else can take the reins and continue on with the blog.

If anyone wants to take over ILFA, definitely be in touch with me. I figure that these days, most people would prefer that if they write for free, they're at least writing for a big site like HuffPo or Gothamist where their work will get a wider audience, but I'd certainly consider handing it off to someone if there's anyone out there who's interested.

A bit of history from a chat with Brooklynian's most prolific writer: http://ilovefranklinave.blogspot.com/2013/11/exit-interviews-brooklynians-whynot31.html
