Yesterday was the first day for Randalls BBQ operating out of The Crown Inn at 724 Franklin. It will be occupying the same spot in the bar that Black Tree used to, and will offer typical BBQ fare like pulled pork, brisket, and smoked turkey. Randalls will be there most days during regular business hours at Crown and serving late.

Go say hey to Jared who will be serving up tasty BBQ sandwiches. He's been in the BBQ game around the city for over 5 years and he's a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

If anybody has any questions on the menu or anything else, leave a post.

Do you have a menu/prices to post? Also: How is the BBQ prepared? Slow-smoked? Cooked and sauced? And where has Jared been cooking?

    So many questions!

Spoke with Toli (sp?) and indeed its being brought in from Manhattan. The owner is apparently looking at a place somewhere closer (Atlantic Ave) to prep the food.

Patch did a really nice write-up on Randalls that should answer some questions.

As for his process, everything he does is dry rubbed and slow smoked with charcoal, mesquite, pecan, and apple woods.
