While Nostrand Avenue Bagels is located very close to Nostrand Avenue Pub, I am not aware of any affiliation. ...they just a share a lack of creativity in naming.

Once upon a time it was a liquor store:

A bit north, but a new bagel store is opening up on nostrand and atlantic.

My bizarre obsession with beating Brownstoner is very pleased.

We beat them by 4 months.

the question is...will they have bacon AND eggs together...in one sandwich. The elusive bacon egg and cheese which I cannot get at Lula or Allegria and don't want to eat from CT Muffin

Crown Heights fans of small, chewy bagels are encouraged to go to Prospect Perk (on Flatbush near GAP).They stock yummy Bagel Hole bagels.

This place is definitely not open yet. I walk by there almost every day and they still have paper in the window. Looking forward to when they finally open, but it still looks like a construction zone...

Yeah, unfortunately they're definitely not open yet, at least as of 8 a.m. this morning! Paper's still up in the window. I'm really looking forward to their opening, though. I'm right at Pacific and Nostrand, and having quality bagels around the corner is exciting. I'm really hoping they have a deli meats and cheese for bagel sandwiches.

I will confirm non opening. There was a free bagel tasting a few days ago. and the "real" opening is tomorrow, Saturday the 18th. Guy on the street that always hangs out there is the source.

I can confirm that they were open yesterday (Saturday). Paper down and costumers inside. I didn't get a chance to drop in -- anyone try it out and have first impressions?

Got a bunch of bagels for a meeting, and some flavored cream cheeses and tofu. The menu is extensive and Whoever that person was looking for bacon egg and cheese on a bagel - it is available here. Hamburgers, wraps etc, etc.

I love the Nostrand Avenue Bagels shop. The bagels are delicious, soft, malty and definitely hand rolled. So far I have sampled the bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel and a plain bagel with butter, and both were fantastic. Great prices and an extensive menu. My only recommendations for the owners (if you are reading!) is to gussy up the shop a little bit with art on the walls or plants to make it a little more cozy. Right now it is big and open, which is nice for me with my baby carriage, but it feels a little sterile. I think people would be more likely to order large breakfasts if it was a little more comfortable to sit and people watch.
