Just read that Bill Bratton has been named the new police chief. I'm sure he'll do the great job that's expected of him since it's his third time around in New York.

    I wonder if they saved any of the old stationary, or the name plate that used to be on his door.

    That he said he is on board with Vision Zero is great news. Car drivers are a bigger menace to this city now than anyone else. Ray Kelly did very little to crack down on drivers.

    I kind of view those "Targeted Traffic Enforcement Zones" that I see in the suburbs as their version of NYC's Impact Zones.

    That said, Grand Army Plaza seems to be one of the former in NYC.

    Given the restrictions imposed by Albany on automated speed traps and red light cameras, we are going to need a lot of RMPs (police vehicles) to pull all the violators over.
