I'm always suspicious about yelp reviews when a place just opens, and the reviewers rave 5 stars, and its only their first ever review. friends & family?

Brownstoner likely used Brooklynian as a lead, but doesn't cite us.
A coffee shop called Kaffee Jac opened at 788 Prospect Place near the corner of Nostrand earlier this month in Crown Heights. It’s at least the third coffee shop to open in the last two years on or near Nostrand between Atlantic and Eastern Parkway, joining Lula Bagel at Lincoln Place and Connecticut Muffin at Bergen Street. They weren’t open when we stopped by, but their Yelp reviews indicate they serve a variety of pastries and sandwiches

    Pro-tip: Sporadic hours don't work!

As one can see from the above awning, Kaffee JAC has an affiliation with the prior business in the space, BK Scoop.

BK Scoop was open very rarely, then closed.

After having sporadic hours, word has it that Kaffee JAC may now be closed.

Well, that was strange... I've only seen this place opened once in several months -- I pass by it several times per week. How did they expect to stay in business?!

They were closed today when I walked by.

....they certainly are affiliated with BKScoop. It had equally lousy reliability.
