I am looking for a new Gyno in the Park Slope/ Prospect Heights area. I have been going to a male doctor for a awhile, but I want to go back to a female doctor. Does anyone know of a good female doctor in the neighborhood? Ideally, I would like to go to a Women's Health Clinic where everyone is female friendly. When I conducted my insurance search I found a few names if anyone has ever been to any of them and has positive or negative experiences please share.

Noel, Yvonne E, MD
Sese, Linda Q, MD
Russell, Bernadith A, MD
Economos, Katherine, MD
Mastropietro, Marisa A, MD
Shiffman, Rebecca L, MD

You might want to create an account so people can PM you and not post their OB/GYN experiences on a public website. You'll probably get more replies that way.

Also, take a look at this thread.

I realize this is a really old post, but I am in the same situation. Does anyone have a phone number for someone they recommend? The phone numbers on my insurance website seem to be wrong. Thanks.

Yael Fuchs is excellent. She shares an office with Dr. Ayoub who is a male and is my gynecologist now because he accepts the coverage i have now that i have switched jobs but she is excellent and he is too. Very thorough and compassionate with great bedside manners. Their office number is 718 768 4338. They are located on 7th ave off 6th st.

you should check out the thread of the PS board about gynos and yael fuchs. you couldn't pay me enough to go back and see her: i got bad test results and it took her THREE weeks to get back to me. i already knew the results were bad because i'd called the office to get the results. i left her messages for THREE weeks and she didn't answer them. by the time she called me i'd already found a new doctor and seen him.

    never, ever again.

I know that Marisa Mastropietro does not accept straight-forward Ob/Gyn patients. I was trying to make an appointment to see her about a year ago. She specializes in more complex issues of urogynecology /sp?/ don’t quote me on this but I think so.

I would check at MDInfocentral.com. Some that you mention here might be rated, so that would give you some feedback as to what patient think about them.

Yael Fuchs, I have been going to for over 10 years. I have heard great things about Dr Noel
