If you're in Park Slope, Mari is great. I never used her because I wouldn't inflict my dogs on anyone other than me but I know her pretty well. I would also see her almost daily when I lived in the Slope walking dogs of all sizes. She's a great person and good with all animals. Let me know if you're interested.

Yes, I'm in Park Slope (sorry, I thought that would be assumed). I have two pugs. Yes, I'm interested in Mari's information.

    Thanks.

Lynn Kurkowski at 347-423-8518 walks my pug (Bobik). She is sweet, kind, and takes the dogs for the longest walks. Highly recommended by me. If you call, say it's a referral from Bobik's dad.

    Subject: dog stuff

how much does lynn charge for a half hour walk 5 days/week? we use a service now (mobile mutts) and are happy with them but its always good to have some other people in mind...

also, has anyone used dog's den for daycare? we submitted all of the paperwork but haven't used them yet...

one other question - anyone have good recommendations for boarding and/or petsitters (responsible, reliable)?

    Subject: Dog's Den

I use Dog's Den. It's really nice there, the staff is nice, and they have webcams so you can check on your dog. They do overnight stays as well.

Hi, Jodi!!! How's things? Are you still working days? Anyway, I do love Lynn - she is fabulous. I'll now have to setp up a profile so that we can PM. -Bobik's dad

P.S. Agree about dog's den - the best establishment on 5th avenue (tell them Arkady, Bobik's dad referred you  )

Ya, actually the first time I took them there (when they first opened), they said, oh we have another pug, Bobik.

I went off the recommendations of the previous posts for Dog's Den and dropped off my 7-month old beagle Boudreaux this week and must say I couldn't have been happier with the services of Mike and his staff. The prices are affordable and I especially enjoyed the comforts of being able to watch my puppy on webcam while at work. I highly recommend them!

Can anyone recommend a dog walker for occasional walks only. I don't need a regular walker but I need one that can deal with only a few hours notice. Kinka's walker is not quite cutting it.
    Thx

Subject: That guy that walks like 10 dogs at once in the park?

How to contact that guy who walks like 10 or more dogs at once in the park with his wife/girlfriend/associate?

He leaves them onleash, but releases some of them to run around.

    I could use his help.

I live in the south slope tho, don't know if he'd swing down here to pick up my 2 dogs. (right off 13th st and 7th ave)

I haven't seen him lately, and never got his name the times I saw him up in the Park.....

    thanks.

I ended up using A Walk Around the Corner (www.awalkaroundthecorner.com).

Melissa walks my dogs, she's very friendly, leaves notes on what the dogs did during the walk, She does occasional walks and also short notice for an additional fee.

    Hiya,

Actually, I used Lynn based on the recommendations of this board and I would not actually recommend her. I met her, liked her and everything and I walked another dog and my dog with her and yes, the walk was nice and long. I arranged for her to come to my house while I was at work the next day, in the afternoon. I went about my day, feeling okay b.c. I knew the dog was being walked and strolled home at about 8pm. She was in the house just getting to walk him!!!! That was her idea of an afternoon walk. It had been hours since my dog had been walked (in the morning by me). I was so furious and she didn't really seem to "get" it. The thing is that you do have to trust that they will walk them when they say b.c. you're not going to be there. She wanted another chance but I don't want to always worry about it. You know?
