I have freinds coming from out of town and don't have room for them. The only places I know are the Brooklyn Motor Inn on Hamiton Ave down by the battery tunnel and there is a days in on 39th St. I only know them because I drive by them.

Any other places to stay near PS/WT?

TIA

There's this place (never been, nor do I know anybody who has, but somebody else recommended it a while back)

    And the Brooklyn Marriott.

There was more info on this board a few months ago. You might find it doing a search

Do you know if the Holiday Inn is open? The expected open date listed is TODAY. I'd double-check

There's always the Leffert's. The police let them re-open as long as they don't charge hourly rates. Aside from that there's a Comfort Inn around 80th Street and 4thAve. It used to be the Gregory Hotel.

for our set of guests this weekend, we found an apartment listed on craigslist -- someone who is subletting on an extremely short-term basis while she goes out of town. we found several like this in the vacation rentals section of craigslist, and it seems like a good deal. the place is nice, furnished, convenient, all that. and the price was less than the b&b's we had looked into -- especially since we were looking for space for 3 people.
