I have some pictures taken post-blizzard (though not the most recent snowfalls). Though I'd use it as an excuse to start a thread.

GREAT foto -- makes a viewer feel like he or she is in the middle of things there.

Many years ago the Sunday Daily News used to have a column entitled "I Remember Brooklyn" where old folks wrote of their experiences growing up in God's Country. One thing that always struck me was tales of the Great Blizzard of 1888. It was such an extraordinary event that PBS made a documentary about it many years ago. You just don't read or hear stories about that event anymore. Perhaps it's because I've gotten old.



Please post more fotos and give use a few more personal tales of God's Country under big snow.

I only have one other snow picture, but I'll post it anyway. I took it in Prospect Park after the same snowfall as the street scene photo above.



Maybe next winter there will be enough snow for a good photo or two (but not too much snow!)

I love snow pics, it gives you an idea of what the streets might have looked like before all the cars. Great shots!
