You may purchase all your favorite Girl Scout cookies in several ways:



1. Complete and fax to us the attached Cookies by Mail order form. Cookie orders are filled within 24 hours of credit card approval.



1. Come to our Council headquarters at 43 West 23rd Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues and buy your cookies in person. (Please note: if you are buying more than 6 boxes of cookies, please complete the Cookies by Mail form, but indicate “FOR PICK UP.” This will help expedite your order. Daily hours are 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Beginning March 22, you may visit the Manhattan Cookie Cupboard for additional hours (see attached).



1. Beginning March 22, visit one of our Cookie Cupboards around the five boroughs – a complete schedule is attached. Cash only, no credit cards.



1. Beginning March 19, check our web site for a list of “booth sales” around the City. These are neighborhood events where your local troops sell cookies.

I love Samoas, and Tagalongs are all right, but nothing beats Thin Mints. Last year I bought a ton just to freeze.

Hey, where's the love for PEANUT BUTTER PATTIES? I've been craving some of those.

I buy a lot of those damn cookies, my freezer is stocked with veggie burgers and girl scout cookies. I think the cookies are the sole reason I have to have a gym membership.

This is all so much more streamlined than how I remember cookie sales being done when I was a Girl Scout. I used to canvas the neighborhood, the church, and send the form to my dad's office to take orders, then a couple weeks later we had to pick 'em up and deliver 'em. Obviously GSA has honed their evil genius over the past 20-odd years.

Yes, tagalongs. I don't get samoas-yeeeech. And one requisite box of thin mints.

I grew up selling cookies--back then they were $1.25/box and I had to go door to door. I still have all my patches.

Oh, Erikka, you were one of the GOOD scouts. I grew up selling them too -and developed a loathing for cold-calling that has persisted lo these 35 years. My most successful year saw me selling a whole eight boxes. Meanwhile, my friends magically sold truckloads.

The shame....

I used to be the top seller in my troop. This was the 90s, before the whole cookies over the internet deal. I did the neighborhood canvassing, with the delivery at a later date; this was not the greatest strategy though, as sometimes people would order cookies but never answer the door or be home, or some would say they changed their minds. I would then be stuck with the cookies at my own expense. My greatest success was through organizing my own booth sales (beyond the ones with my troop) - the solo booth sale worked great, as I got credit for all the sales.

#1 seller in my troop for several years. go me! woo!

My mother still hasn't forgiven me for having 500 boxes of cookies in the house. It took up so much space--she offered to go BUY me the patch if I wouldn't sell those damn cookies.

Why don't they have a proper website where you can order the cookies online? I'm way too lazy to print out that order form and mail it in...

I just picked up my seasonal fix at the Long Island Restaurant on Atlantic Ave at Henry Street.

They always carry a decent supply right there behind the bar.

My bag included the following:

Thin Mints.

Samoas.

Tagalongs.

Do-si-dos.

Mmm-mmm!

Carnivore, they have a Brooklyn office where you can go in and buy the cookies. One in Manhattan as well, and the rest o' the boroughs. I think they will be posting their booth sales schedule on the "cookie central" part of their website soon too.

I bought some at their 23rd Street office. They are on the 6th Floor. There was no wait at all.

How much does a box go for these days?

Not sure about how long they'll be sold but from looking at their website it seems you can buy them indefinitely. I think they're $3.50 a box, which isn't bad compared to other cookies.

It's only until about April 28th - unless the cookies run out sooner, which is usually how they do it.

Got mine today! Love the instant gratification. I may skip the order form next year.
