Anyone know of a good, fair local TV repair shop

Our LCD TV just broke and we are out of warranty time. Anyone used a fair brooklyn repair place to get your tv fixed?

    Get your TV fixed? People actually do that in America? I didn;t think so, we live in a disposable society. Throw it out, buy a new one.

    I went there with a broken coffee grinder. When they were finished laughing at me - all three of them, I think I was that day's entertainment - they told me to buy a new one in their shop.

    I was going to say J+R too. I like them, and I've found them to be upfront about whether it's worth it to get something repaired (most recently a food processor).

    How big is the LCD? Might be cheaper to get a TV tuner for your PC if you computer monitor isn't that much smaller...

    thanks for the recommendation. We are bringing it in tomorrow. the tv is just over a year so hopefully we can get it fixed.
