Anybody recognize this dog?
It's been looped to my neighbor's fence since around 2pm. Black collar with little "diamonds", slight overbite. It's in good shape, although s/he looks a little old . . .

pm me if you recognize it !

For pete's sake, what the hell is wrong with people? That poor dog, I don't understand how could someone do that. Is this on Park Place? I was walking my dogs earlier and a kid came up to me asking if I knew someone who could take an abandoned dog. I hope it's the same one and there aren't 2 of them out there.

Seriously - WTF is wrong with people? When you decide to have an animal, you are making a commitment for the rest of its life - you don't fucking tie it to a fence when it gets old or sick or you just get bored with it.

    Poor baby.

That's how I found my older dog Cheech. A woman across the street couldn't keep him and tied him up outside my building (this was in Kensington 10 years ago). The reason she couldn't keep him? He was peeing in fear because her drug addict husband was abusing him! Real nice. What piece of garbage could abuse this?

    no kidding
    wtf IS wrong with people?

A lady came by and recognized the dog -- somebody had offered it to her a little earlier in the day. They said they were moving. They said he was around four or five and his name is Snoopy.
Well, I guess they just dumped the dog.

That lady knew another lady that does rescue, and she came by and picked up the dog. If anyone wants a little dog, pm me.
He's male, unneutered. He's quiet and friendly.

I'm glad somebody took it in......I hope that the people who abandoned this dog are reported for cruelty.

I'd like to see some of these people tied to a fence and left there when they aren't convenient any more. At least for a few hours.

Or just give me a few minutes alone with them. There is something so wrong with people who do shit like that. I look at Cheech every day and am so grateful he came into my life. Especially when he lets me kiss his belly (something he never would have allowed when I got him).

I'm glad someone took him in, I hope he finds an awesome home, he definitely deserves it.

Well, if anyone here wants a dog, this one is available.
Or if you recognize it as one of your neighbor's, please PM me.

Perhaps it can be reported anyway. It shouldn't take too much detective work to figure out who moved out of the area today.

I'll ask around, maybe one of my customers would be interested. He's just adorable and I love the underbite. He reminds me of Falcor from The NeverEnding Story.

What a cute little dog! The shape of his head indicates he's a chihuahua mix.

What a cutie. I would take him if I was allowed dogs in my apartment :(

Aw that's so sad. I want to cry. I'm glad someone is taking care of him for the time being and I hope he goes to a good home. Poor thing.

THis dog looks familiar! I think it belongs to the lady who owns the house on the corner of Carlton and Bergen, the one with all the rocks. It looks just like one of her dogs! I would ask her if one got loose, before you find it a new home.

He definitely looks familiar, but it is definitely not one of the dogs from the house on Bergen and Carlton. Where was he found?

Do you have the address of the place it was tied in front of? Might be worth calling the landlord to see if anyone recently vacated and reporting them to the ASPCA.

The dog didn't live on the block where he was abandoned. The owners were driving around in a car offering the dog to people . . .
