Apartment information please/Brooklyn Free School

Hello. I am looking to move to (I think) Park Slope. We would move from Williamsburg and I don't know south Brooklyn at all. I am thinking of sending my son to the Brooklyn Free School, located at 16th and 4th. I am pricing apartments on craigslist within a 5 block radius of the school. My question is, is this area Park Slope or another neighborhood? From ads I have seen, truth-stretching realtors call many far flung areas "Park Slope". And if you have advice of better places to search for housing than craigslist I would very much appreciate it. Thank you very much!

Also, we would be leaving a three bedroom, $1600 a month. Am I living in fantasy land to think we could get a similar place near this school? Thanks again!

A 3 BR will be at least $2000, probably more. 16th and 4th is not the nicest part of the neighborhood either. I'd want to go more east (toward 5th, 6th, etc.) or north. You should go walk around the neighborhood and see what blocks you like. They can change drastically within a few blocks.

16th and 4th is a keep on the borderlands of DUNGEON.
