Anyone want to take bets on the life span of the 99-cent stores and their brethren around here?

Oh my goodness!!
I must tell you I have lived in the Slope way before it was referred to as THE slope and the Salvation Army was my favorite destination for a long time. I keep passing by the corner and seeing the building go up and marvel at how many apartments they are gonna fit in to a space that once accomodated clothing racks... and the prices?... faugetaboutit!!

Is that a Baby Gap of the bottom there?
Should I puke??
