Subject: What's up with Petit Bassam?

They have that sign pasted up on the gate and there's been no action going on there.

The food is great, but the management could be better... a few times I've been there, we've had misplaced orders and last time I was there, they still had masking tape on the window from when they painted the trim.

Come on guys! We love your restaurant and think it brings a lot to the neighborhood, but want it to be run better!

I'd agree. Good food, good (but easily distracted) waiter, and yes, that masking tape on the window, and that was weeks ago. Heck, I bet there's even people in this neighboorhood who'd *volunteer* to help a good restaurant stick around, in ways besides spending their money there, that is.

All volunteers report to the nearest restaurant, help wanted.

I had to laugh when I read this because I went to Petit Bassam today and the tape is still up.

I live pretty close so I've been there a few times. The service was good when I've been there... The first time I went we wanted to sit outside so we had them fix an outside table for us... then is started to drizzle so they had to fix and inside table for us... Doesn't seem like a big deal but I've been to many restaurants where they would have huffed and puffed about that.. but the folks were very nice. Anyway.. keep going and maybe we can stretch the restaurant/shop presence on Lewis north of Halsey.
