Hair Salon on Underhill--Have you seen it?

I'm so happy there's a new hair salon on Underhill...I hear they do nails, too! Yay!

Where on Underhill?

Its right next to the videogame repair shop...or, it may be the old videogame repair shop.

Is this the place I saw on Sunday that had a sort of sleek, modern decor, with green paint? (What a crappy description, sorry.) I was peering into the window but couldn't figure out what it was. Maybe the front desk of a salon?

If that's not the spot you're talking about, I'm going to have to do more reconnaissance.

I walked by and they gave me a card. It looks really nice inside. I'm not sure if they offer mani/pedis, but its certainly a place to get your hair blown out or flatironed...

It does look really nice. It is the old tattoo parlor space, which I had originally reported on converting to a "spa" exactly a year ago today here.

It IS nice. And on the same block as the Impact Theatre.....kinda reminds me of the East Village....
I think I like- and maybe ladies, just maybe, we all can book a day of nail/hair/facials/waxing of just us cool kids. Get away from those smelly boys for a bit of peace and quiet.

Yes - I was just walking home and noticed the gate part way up on this place and was wondering what sort of business it was. From a glance across the street it seemed to have a nice looking seating area in front (waiting area perhaps?) so I wasn't sure what it was.

Any word on a business name? When they're opening? (Any more details, etc.?)

Its called Yazmine Kelly, and they posted an ad on Craigslist looking for nail and hair stylists about a month ago. I googled the name and that's all that came up, so it seems to me like this is a new venture. No website or info on prices yet though... anyone else know?

Anyone try this place yet? What sort of services menu do they offer? They seem to have been open for a while now, but not much action going on. Still curious...

I haven't been there. I have a beautiful head full of mane and I'm scared to try someone new. For years, I went to Salon Strategy on Vandy for services, but now, I have to trek all the way downtown to get my hair flatironed, cut, conditioned, etc. Marstars, maybe you should try it and report back...OR, one or us should try it. Who's brave???

You don't have to, but it would be cool. Maybe you could do a super-close-up on the hairstyle or a picture from the back, so that your identity isn't revealed by the picture...
