Besides Beacon's Closet, where can I sell used clothes?

Can anybody recommend bookstores that will buy used books?

Do any of these places offer pick-up service?

Please note, I'm looking for places that pay cash, I can't take store credit. Thanks in advance!

Adam's Books at 456 Bergen buys books. I think the two used book stores on 7th do, too.

Just out of curiosity, why besides Beacon's Closet?

Sweet, thanks for the info. Does anybody know the name of the used bookstores on 7th?

Re: Beacon's Closet, because they say they take mostly vintage or alternative/hip/trendy contemporary clothes. If that's what I owned, I wouldn't be so eager to sell!

I'd look up the books you want to sell on Amazon. It would take more effort to sell them individually, but some are worth quite a lot. Then you could unload the rest that aren't as valuable at a bookstore.

I believe it's 7th Avenue Books (it might be 7th Ave Children's Books, though) and Park Slope Books. They're both between 2nd and 3rd.

The Strand is a good place to sell, esp if you have art books.

Powell's also buys online - you send them the USBN and other info

And then of course there's the direct approach of a stoop sale . . .
