Hotels, guest houses, BB in Bocaca

I'm looking for a small hotel (ie, not super expensive a la the Marriott), guesthouse or B&B to stay occasionally to visit family that lives near Henry and Baltic streets. Any advice would be a huge help.

There is the new Holiday Inn Express in Gowanus, Union Street between 2nd and 3rd Aves. The block it is on is not the cutest, but Holiday Inn Expresses are actually really comfortable.

Holy smokes. Holiday Inn Express is $320 during the week. Unbelievable. Guess I will have a tough time visiting my new niece!!

My dad has stayed at a B&B on Union St. called the Angelique. I visited him there once (this was about 5 years ago) and it seemed perfectly nice. I don't have contact info, but I'm sure you could Google around.

you might try the vacation rental section of craigslist. we've had good luck subletting apartments (even just for the weekend) for visiting family.

I think that's the best idea, but here's an old B&B thread that links to some other B&B threads . . . nothing exactly where you are but not the Marriott either.
