phone and internet

Hi there-- my housemates and I want to get a PHONE LINE and INTERNET ONLY. We don't want cable. Optimum online only wants to sell us like a gazillion channels, so I'm wondering if anyone in the nabe has JUST phone and Internet. Recommendations? Thanks!

Oh! How much do you pay? And is it a certain package we can ask them for, or do you get both separately? We've been arguing with these Optimum salespeople, so it'd be great to know what to say to just get phone and internet.

you could get dsl and phone. but cable and fiber optics is much better hehe.

Verizon.

get cablevision internet. Then use sunrocket internet-based phone service. It's $10 a month for 200 minutes then 2 cents a minute over that or you can get unlimited calling for $24 or something.. no activation fees or equipment that you have to buy.. we did it and love it.. phone and internet costs us 49.95 + 10= $59.95 a month.
