Gunshots, St John's near Franklin ~9:40pm

Subject: Gunshots, St John's near Franklin ~9:40pm

Anyone privy to what happened? I made a 911 call and the operator claimed 500-block of St. John's.

I heard 3 shots in quick sucession, but no sirens since.

My daughter lives in that area and heard them too. Didn't the police come?

The block was taped off right away, and apparently there was another shooting on St Johns and Underhill around the same time. Not sure which happened first though

Sounded like this one was first and then the other was at 12:40 or so. Wonder if they're related?

On my past visits to brooklyn(east flatbush), I used to hear gunshots in the late evening. My mother told me that some of the residents like to fire their guns in the air. They usually liked to do it in the summer and fall. I guess its that time of the year again .

No. This wasn't shots in the air. My daughter heard the shots and saw the aftermath of the shooting with a guy down and bleeding with at least one shot to the chest.
That's some scary stuff.

In related news, the cops were out in force in the neighborhood this weekend.

You said she saw that at St Johns and Underhill. I don't think that was the same occurrence. Where did she see it?

No. She saw this at the cornor of St John and Franklin at 9:40PM, before the St John and Underhill shooting.
