In Search of Cheers

Does anyone have any suggestions on a neighborhood "cheers-like" bar in PH? I'm new and hoping to venture out and meet people and find some cool spots. Thanks!

Tavern on Dean is very much like that.

Mooney's as well.

I'd say mooney's, also. you show your face in there more than 3 times in one month? they're pulling your guinness before you sit on your barstool.

I'm in Ripple once a week or so, and although it lacks in some Cheers-esque elements, the folks are kind and know me. One slow night there I was even helping myself to beers behind the bar and just leaving the money in a little pile.

ripple is awesome, honestly. I've changed my opinion of that bar in the last yearish and really enjoy going there now.
