Let your cats benefit from my misfortune!

So, my computer was basically as useful as a paper weight for the past week and a half. It's working now but I still need to figure out how to rescue my stuff from my old drive. I won't even bore you guys with the long story, needless to say if a certain tech support person had done their job correctly my computer would have been fixed a week ago.

Anyway, since it's physically impossible for me to do one thing at a time I now have an abundance of catnip toys. In the past week I made about 26 from discontinued fabric books and organic catnip I got from my mom. I have about 12 or so left and they are up for grabs! So, if any cat moms or dads are near Shawn's Wines at 141 7th Avenue in Park Slope, stop by and pick one up. I'm there all weekend, Saturday 3-9:30, Sunday 1-7, and Monday 11-5 (I think, holiday hours haven't been completely set in stone yet).

I'm not charging for them since I enjoy making them and my cats are catnip whores. They refuse to play with the toys, they want their catnip spread out on the table so they can roll in it. Of course they prefer the really messy method, they like to make sure I always have something to do. If anyone wanted to make a donation of $.50 or $1 towards the foster kitties that would be cool but totally NOT necessary. I'd rather have these toys being enjoyed than sitting in a bag on a shelf.

So, drop by if you're interested and in the area! (For anyone who doesn't know already, I'm the woman with the purplish blue hair, you can't miss me.)

Bah. I wish Haze responded to catweed, but she just looks at it and walks away.

With a name like "haze", maybe she's baked enough

Well, Drano, you'll be getting one anyway. R picked one out for Hazel the other day. Maybe she'll like this toy, it's organic catnip!

Flexi, I still have a bunch at the store. I gave a few to some customers but there's more to be had!

I work every evening except for Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sundays I'm there 1-7, so get your kitties high!

Ok, my computer woes continue. Last night I had to reinstall XP twice, took me 4 hours to do it! So, I made about 12 more catnip toys. I'm going to have to do it again in a few days when Dell sends me a new copy of XP. Which means more kitty crack! C'mon guys, everyone that has gotten one says their cat loves them. Everyone is doing it, you don't want your kitties to be left out, do you?

I work Friday and Saturday (3-9:30), Sunday (1-7), Monday and Wednesday (3-9). I usually eat dinner around 7-7:30 but I don't leave the store. So, if you don't see me up front then I'm probably in the back. Oh, and I'm doing my hair tonight so it'll be nice and fresh (hopefully bluer this time)! Stop by whenever, don't feel bad about interrupting me if I'm eating. :)

Yay, I'm so glad he likes it! Are those crazy back feet in the bottom left picture? I love when they hold a toy and try to "kill" it with their back feet. Like they're trying to disembowel it! Thanks for stopping by, I have no idea why we're so busy this time of year, usually this is our slow time. It was great meeting you!

you got any of these left? i make them too sometimes, and my cats never like mine either, but other cats do. go figure. maybe it's the excitement of smelling a new place. or maybe it's just like kids not wanting to wear clothes their mom made.

grafixguy, that's what I'm talking about! When they hold a toy with their front paws and the back feet kick away trying to shred it. Doesn't matter how many times I see a cat do that I always think it's hysterical.

sweet tea, I think I have about 6 or 7 more left. Of course, I have to reinstall XP today yet again (with the new cd Dell sent me), so I'm sure I'll have more after that! My girls like the catnip I have just fine only when it's spread out so they can roll in it. Little junkies.
