It may be heard no more, but it lives on in the hearts of those who were really there.

Now, do you remember where I left my walking cane?

Hall and Oates=my favorite band from the 80's (them and Duran Duran).
    and I'm not ashamed.
Nadia- we must have a dual! I will not have you curse my beloved. In the name of all that is holy and sacred- I shall avenge thee!!! ;)

On the contrary, H&O did do a version- but Nadia was probably hearing Paul Young..

Indeed , both Hall & Oates and Paul Young covered that song. And if Nadia says it was that Hall & Oates she was subjected to my money says she was correct.

But why so down on the blue eyed soul brothers?

You should have been on Vandy, virtually all day yesterday, right outside the failed Mexican restaurant. Whole sidewalk taken over, several grills, naked flame tiki lamp going (near the garbage) and the shittiest shite music ever.

Now that's street culcha - discuss.

What drives me crazy is how the loud music players on my block play the SAME three or four songs over and over, and have been doing so for weeks. None of the songs are anything I can identify, but they're relentlessly pounded into my head nonetheless. One afternoon a couple of weeks ago someone started blaring Bjork out a window in an apparent attempt to get them to stop, but sadly it had no effect.

I would have preferred that over the ice cream truck sing-a-long at 11:05 Sat night on my stretch of Washington.

Okay, now today someone is blaring New Age music -- it's all flutes and chimes and bells over on Bergen Street right now, and has been for the past couple of hours. Weird.

OH. SWEET. CHRIST. ON. A. STICK. I am now in hour four of the SAME fucking chimey, harpy, massage therapist/New Age bookstore, crystal-rubbing HELL.

Is anyone else on Bergen between Classon and Grand? Am I alone in my pain?!

I saw Paul Young shopping at the make-up counters at Bloomingdale's a couple Christmas seasons ago...not that this has anything to do with anything...

    Wow!

I just met Robert Goulet the other night at the theater. By that, I mean at A Chorus Line.

I'm a big fan of running into cheesy celebrities. I also met Steve Guttenberg about a month ago.
