Speaking of groceries....

Has any one noticed...the fruit and vegitables at DNY are the freshest and sometimes the prices are really high and sometimes there are deals. Then, hop over to the Key Food and find similar items but a little older, THEN shop at MET Food on Vanderbilt and see some of the stuff but even older or funky. I tend to shop at all three and started noticing this in the past year. There is some sort of grocery "price fixing" too but I can't quite place it. :shock:

Is it price fixing, or is that just what the market will bear? Not sure what you mean.

I have noticed that the veggies at DNY are very good. I had a friend over who commented on the freshness and flavor of something I gave her, and asked if I got it at the farmer's market. I think that says it all.

Well, call it what you like. I think the guys know each other and shop each other and, yes, it could be a marketing thing but it also could be in the semantics and/or perception.

I would like to find somewhere to just shop and not feel ripped off.
