OK, so what are folks doing for "summer fun?"

We're working on the back-o-the house, garden...perhaps a beach day or two. And, of course, seeing the 'rents (who we love, of course)

Others?

    I'm outtie from July 18th - August 19th.

I'm going to the D to visit my family.

Summer there is the best! Trips to the beaches , lots of neices and nephews birthday parties , and many back yard BBQ's just for the hell of it.

Rolling out the basketball rim to play with my 9 year old nephew , and then end up having to go up against the pro's from down the street! As soon as they see me setting it up they run over and say "hey girl! lets play 4 on 4 teams !" My nephew looks up at me like "damn , it's supposed to only be me and you" , but I feel bad saying no to them, so we play , but I always pick him to be on the winners team. ( Mines :))

I can't wait to see my fam! I miss those crazy bastards so damn much. image

Might be gone longer if my dad gets his way. I am practicing how to say "NO Dad!!"

Usually I hang around Brooklyn all summer, but this year I actually have travel plans and, reservations . Can't believe it. As far as locally, I have been to the beach already, but plan to go again, and I've been spending more leisure time than I usually do at Prospect Park. I also train clients there and for the first time, I am really starting to learn the layout of the park. By the end of the summer I want to know it inside and out.

I've done the beach thing for the past two weekends. I'll probably stay in BK for the most part, unless I magically come into some extra money and then I will follow my cuz to the Keys for a week.

We're staying put in theory but have a lot of trips lined up: Chicago (wedding); New Orleans (helping a friend with house renovation -- because I'm insane); Providence, Boston, DC, Philly (visiting friends).

I'm also pushing for a 4th of July trip to Toronto or Nova Scotia since my husband just got his Green Card (yay!) and we can finally travel outside the U.S. We'll see!

On the days I get to, I'll be flat on my ass in the park.

And on the days I don't get to, I'll be thinking about the same.

Considering everything we went through with our immigration friends (and it wasn't near as much as what some people have to deal with), we thought it was actually quite a perfect plan all around!
