Police cars whizzing down Seventh Avenue

Did anyone else notice this, around 6pm yesterday? We were sitting outside near 9th, and noticed no less than 4-5 police cars, 1-2 police vans, and an undercover car or two FLYING down Seventh Avenue. They then turned up 7th Street, so we were thinking something happened at the hospital.

Anyone know what happened?

I saw that, too, and saw about 8-10 cops rush into the hospital. I was just looking online to see if there was any news about it, but I haven't found anything.

See, this is why the New York Times needs to publish listings of ambulance/fire runs and police activity--just like my hometown paper. I thought it was only my parents who still run to the window any time a fire truck, ambulance, or cruiser goes down their street.

OK, here are some of the (maybe?) more obscure code references:

HAZMAT: hazardous materials (like when the kids in the BX got sprayed with the science experiment/drano, or if a gas/oil spill needs to be cleaned up after a car crash)

MVA: speaking of car crashes -- motor vehicle accident

10-75: FDNY call for a 'working fire'
All Hands: FDNY call for a more serious fire
10-77: FDNY call for a fire in a multiple family building and/or hi-rise
2nd Alarm: FDNY needs additional personnel

    EDP: emotionally disturbed person

    Any others?

Maybe they'll have something in the Brooklyn Papers from that guy who likes to write about "hooligans" and "ne'er do wells."
