just saw a sign on the old puebla la cucina restaurant at saint marks and vanderbilt... coming soon, zaytoons!

i hope they will deliver...

I know that google is my friend, but WTF is Zaytoon's, and why are we happy about 'em?

Zaytoons is a Middle Eastern restaurant, something we don't yet have at all in Prospect Heights. I've been to the one in Carroll Gardens and the one in Fort Greene, and both are better than the Park Slope Middle Eastern options.
If it's true that they're coming to Vanderbilt, this is fantastic news.

I saw this today and was so happy. It'll be great to have some more veggie options in the neighborhood. Plus, the folks behind Zaytoon's actually know how to run a business, so it will most likely last.

I called the Zaytoons on Smith St and he said it would be approximately 3 weeks until they open. They are basically putting the finishing touches on the look and feel of the restaurant.

Looking very forward to it.

having just moved from carroll gardens i wonder if this zaytoons will embrace the other zaytoon's custom of hanging up on you if you call and it's busy.

My friend and I saw this yesterday as we were walking home from Le Gamin brunch and we both actually leapt for joy. Middle Eastern AND Greek restaurants opening within a month of each other? LET THE BABA GANOUSH BATTLES BEGIN!!!

I've never had this happen and I've been ordering from the Myrtle Ave location for two years now.

Also, I love Zaytoon's chicken shwarma pizza.

i was talkin bout the one in carroll gardens. never ordered from the myrtle ave spot. hopefully it won't be an issue at this new one either cause they have good eats

Zaytoons in PH is still not open.. argh.. I called. It is now supposed to be open around Aug. 15th
