Did a year teaching elementary in Bed-Stye.

Used to work in special ed back when it was still the Board of Education. Emotionally disturbed and autistic kids, not a good time. I never got used to 6 year olds telling me to go fuck myself but it was nice to see the few kids who ended up in regular ed. Tough job, I don't know how people stick with it. It's emotionally draining and I often felt like I was fighting a losing battle.

I taught for 3 years in the Bronx and just finished a second masters in school counseling and I'm trying to find out the scoop on schools in this area and just looking for info on any schools that might be in need of a counselor.

I teach American Lit and AP English at a HS in Brownsville. What kind of counselor? Guidance?
