pre-war apartment wanted for sept. 1

i am looking for a pre-war studio or 1 br (under $1,100) or 2 br (under $1,600) in prospect heights (but also open to crown heights, PLG / prospect lefferts gardens, fort greene, clinton hill, etc...)

i have 2 cats and am really looking for a lovely place to call home. please forward any leads. thank you!

what are my odds of finding anything?
i just saw 2 listings on CL for july 1st for studios/1 Br's in PH for 750, 800. That seems totally impossible--what is the catch?. Any thoughts?

sounds too good to be true--- were those for shares?

I haven't even seen basements that cheap in PH.

any further advice? i am partial to prospect heights, can handle a share and would be willing to venture to another neighborhoods and/or move in august....
