I'm reviving this thread as I now have two kittens that have cost me close to $600 in one month. Any recommendations on insurance? If not, I swear I'm teaching them to fetch and putting them in the circus so they can earn their keep.

I have heard good things about VPI Pet Insurance. One of my adopters has it and she speaks very highly of VPI.

I've looked into procuring pet insurance for my younger cat and it's PRICEY for the amount of coverage I'd be getting, which isn't great at all. I'm not sure it's worth it. And if I pay that much for her insurance, I won't have money for the older one's care, and so long as he's running around and enjoying life, I'd like to keep him around.

If I could make a living selling this stuff, I would. I came across the idea and specifically VPI years ago while researching a cat book.

They were/are great. I can no longer afford it, not that they're expensive, working freelance now... Their turn around time was about a week. They are supportive and it makes the difference between supporting the life of your little ones vs putting them down because of an illness that can be relieved.

Their site allows you to get a non-committal quote just for your eyes only and see what you think.

    I think it's VPI.cm but google it.
