New NYC Noise Regulations

As many of you probably know, new noise regulations went into effect on July 1. They deal with many types of noise, some of which are dear to my heart like endless car alarms, the stupid ice cream truck music and excessively loud earplugs of subway riders. Attached is an overview in plain English of the new rules and on page two there is a website address where you can get the actual codified regs if you're so inclined.

Hmm, if there's a way to include an attachment here, I don't know what it is. But here's the website of the codified regs:

    I think there's been a restriction on car alarms in place before this -- you were in violation if your car alarm went off for more than five minutes or something like that.

    That link goes to 25 pages of codified regs, what is the website for the english version?

    I think most of the rules have been tightened, even those applying to car alarms. Here is the link to a brochure that provides an overview in plain english:
