I Love Red Hook

Got in the ole Zip car today, took off to Red Hook, bought way too many groceries at Fairway, ate panini on the cafe patio while staring at the Statue of Liberty and watching the water taxis and ferries, and fell in love.

Drove back and forth across Van Brunt and loved everything I saw, especially Visitation and Pioneer.

And what's that great park by the church?

Wow - I can't even imagine the development that Red Hook is about to undergo - get there while you can!

Follow-up question - If I was seriously interested in looking into buying a 2 bdrm condo in Red Hook where would I start?

    A. It's hard to find a block where new condos are being built. New 2bedroom condos currently under construction in RH are asking over $650 k. 3 br are asking 8. Prices are reflective of potential rather than current value. So we'll see if the market dictates that they come down at all.

    A. Coffey Park.

Question for you Livetotravel, what's the deal with the Zip car?

Re Zip Car - it's like a car share program - you pay an hourly or daily fee plus a milage charge after 125 miles and they pay insurance and gas. They have lots of car selections and dozens of locations. You become a member, they send you a cool plastic card that allows you to unlock and lock the car after you have reserved it.
