Subject: How's the area south of Montrose L, Graham/Moore and...?

Hey guys, I was considering moving.

How is the area around Graham and Moore streets, south of Montrose L stop?

also, what about the Flushing avenue and Bushwick avenue intersection?

I was thinking about moving, would it be a safe walk at 10:00 pm from montrose L stop to Graham and Moore streets?

Thanks.

Yes, I have found that area to be safe. There are huge projects at Moore and Bushwick that I would avoid. But walking home down Montrose to Graham and down to Moore is fine. Not the nicest area cosmetically but I would consider it safe. I have lived off Montrose for 4 years now and it has improved ALOT.

Flushing and Bushwick is 2 blocks from my house. Not the kind of place I would want to hang around at night but generally safe, as it is a busy intersection. My GF catches the bus to work every day at that corner and hasn't had any trouble aside from the usual lame ghetto pick up lines like "hey mommy" etc.....

General overview of area...still rough around the edges but improving all the time. If you have patience, it's a good time to get into the hood while rents are reasonable. The other side though is that the housing projects arent going anywhere any time soon.
