i believe it's a prudential douglas elliman, to be exact. they put up the sign last week, then took it down for some reason.

yuck. no offense to them specifically of course, but in another 5 years, there won't be a thing on 7th avenue open later than 6pm.

Yes, because 2 on that one block wasn't enough!

Plus the freakin mortgage broker where Uprising BAKERY used to be. So lame.

who else (other than major real estate brokerages) can afford the rent on 7th avenue?!

this is true, but considering the number of storefronts that sit empty for months, if not years on 7th avenue, you'd think that the landlords would rather fill them at a reduced price rather than let them sit empty.

seems we've got some businessmen in the neighborhood who could use a refresher course on economics 101.

that particular storefront was a greengrocer/grocery store (had the most reasonably priced milk in the slope)... it's a shame they went out of business (they were nice too!)

but all the high tech gadgetry is cool looking - and the new clock above the door is a very nice touch

i think, for a real estate office, they are doing a nice job to try to make their storefront as attractive as possible. kudos to them. if we've gotta have a real estate office, i think it shows respect for the neighborhood to put some nice touches in like the clock. they certainly didn't have to do that...
