Ran into Haileejah a week ago and for the time being, the post office is closed. I think he mentioned something about retirement, but don't quote me on that. Folks with boxes/suites can still call to get mail but daily operation is down for now....

This really bums me out. I took something to the Mailboxes place on Flatbush the other day when FB's gates were down, and it was okay, but it's just not the same!

Anyone know if Haileejah will be retiring from woodworking too? He does great work.

The boards are still up but there were signs up that said 'open'.

I doubt Hialejaa is retiring from woodworking. For him, woodworking is a labor of love. When I adopted my doggie, Hialejaa built him the most spectacular doghouse. Truth is, the little doggie never went into the doghouse, but it was a really nice "welcome to the neighborhood" gift for Moxie...

He will not be retiring from woodworking. In fact he's got a whole catalog of photo's of things he wants to make. I'm sure people will start
commissioning things very soon. He wants to take it easy. They guy could use the break.

He's a better carpenter then my son was.
