I was driving down Atlantic yesterday and noticed some outdoor thing on the corner of Atlantic & Bedford under a tent.. It may have been spoken word or poetry..Does anyone have details on that ..and if that was a one-time thing or does it take place all the time..

Thanks

I don't know much about it, but I think it has something to do with the church next door. Maybe a revival or something. I drove by a sign on the fence, but didn't have much time to read it.

Yeah, its the summer church revival season. There used to be tons of those tents around during the summers, but I think that the gentrification is killing the storefront church movement as well.

I for one dont mind that at all. When I lived on Quincy and Bedford, it was a nuisance to have to listen the "word of the Lord Almighty God Jesus" non stop for hours on end blaring through a loudspeaker. And all the religious mafiosi who would block the sidewalk and force you to listen to them.

I respect people's need to practise religion, but not at the inconvenience of the society at large.
