Hi. I am seriously deciding on moving back to Midwood (East 12th Street & Ave. H).

If anyone lives in that vicinity, please tell me if it is relatively quiet during daytime & quiet during nights.

Much appreciated,
Chucky

It is quiet 24/7.. You want to be more quiet than that move to Greenwood Cemetery..
Seriously... and not wishing to offend... That is a quiet convenient place to live. If you are moving back you know the disadvantage is not a whole lot happening in the Hood but advantage easy transport to get out of the area to more interesting places in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Hmm, my friend there just told me a neighbor across from her plays loud music every Thursday night from 7pm-1am.

Yet another rock thrown in my peaceful pond ARGGGGGG!

PS. veets, do you live on that block too? Anyone else who does?

    Thanx

I don't live on the blocks but I grew up in the hood and I have friends who live off of Ave H.. on the other side of the train.. Seriously .. It is a quiet, family neighborhood. the shopping on Ave j is pretty directed to the Jewish community and stores are closed on the Sabbath. If u are moving back you probably know the scene.. I would feel more comfortable there than further down like by Cortelyou.. as far as noise and break ins and street crime.

You might not want to move in right next door to my 3 little yappers and me, Chuck. We live on East 12th between I and the cut-off. And, while I can't speak for the other side of the tracks, I CAN tell you that we have our fair share of street noise on this side. Still, some days, I find it stultifyingly quiet.

lol @ 3 lil yappers. What kind of street noise do you experience on your side? Also, do you hear any loud music coming from the other side of the cut-off near Ave. H? The building my friend lives in is right next to the funeral home, which I'm not crazy about, but ehh.

    Thanx.
