Fernet Branca in Brooklyn/NYC?

While recently in San Francisco, I tried Fernet Branca, this really interesting Italian liquor made with herbs and spices. I've looked for it in a few places in Brooklyn and Manhattan, to no avail. Is anyone familiar with it, and if so, do you know of a bar nearby that serves it?

Thanks :)

IK wonder if there's ay connection between that stuff and Fernet Stock, a horrible liquor from the Czech Republic.

they may have it at that store on e. 16th street near union square called something like "fine italian wines". it's partly owned by mario batali and carries a bunch of stuff that you can't get anywhere else, including this incredible barolo chinato that you should all run out and buy and drink with chocolate and ginger and think of me and thank me for telling you about it.

but they have it at Astor, now on Lafayette St at 4th St in Manhattan . . . . or thereabouts - just east of Tower Records

    Subject: my favorite liquor

I always buy it when I come home from some abroad trip, somewhat cheaper in the tax free shop. Try the one with mint taste (Branca Menta), it taste even better. Fernet Branca during the winter and Campari in the summer is the way to go.
