Where do you guys run/jog?

I'm a 4 miles, 3 times a week kinda guy who's moving to the neighborhood in a month. Someone suggested the promenade (spectacular view), but it's a little short at 1/3 of a mile.

Any recreational runners want to clue me in to their preferred route?

Prospect Park would be ideal, but it's more than a 30 minute walk away from Brooklyn Heights. Probably a bit too long of a walk (time-wise) to get to a daily running trail, especially a run of only 4 miles.

Anyone know how far the Brooklyn Bridge footpath is, end to end? A run from one end to the Promenade to the end of the BB, and back, would have to be pretty close to four miles, I would think...

Thanks, Steve. That's a great site.

For anyone interested, it's roughly 2 miles from the beginning of the Promenade (@ Remsen Street) to the end of the Brooklyn Bridge at City Hall, so roughly, a 4 mile loop.

(The site didn't have the promenade, so I started the map at the end of Remsen, went down Montague Terrace and Columbia Heights, then over Middagh Street to approx. on Adams Street where the footpath up to the bridge is.)

My route from North Heights - South on Promenade, East on Remsen, South on Hicks, over the BQE at Congress, South on Hicks to Carroll Steet Bridge, East to Clinton, North on Clinton to Cadman Plaza West (3 miles at this point), and if I'm feeling it, through Cadman Park, North on Washington into Dumbo, west through Fulton Ferry Park and then west down Water to Old Fulton, up Squibb Hill on Columbia Heights to the start. About 4 miles.
