Chopper overhead

About 8:00 tonight, an NYPD chopper was hovering low basically over my back yard (near 8th Ave./10th St.). Anyone know what was going on?

    Dunno. Do you run a meth lab out of your house? That could explain it.

    Yeah, I saw / heard it too, but it seemed like it was over my yard. No searchlight, though.

    Could have been monitoring the crowd at Celebrate Brooklyn in the park.

    Yeah, it was circling the Bandshell for roughly 5 or 6 passes--apparently taking photos since the flash (accidentally?) went off a few times out the banked side-door. And then it hovered just southwest for a while.
