I did it before my wedding and was happy with the results. I think I paid $400 and it included 4 follow-up appointments. I went to a BriteSmile in the city, not to a dentist. It burned a little but not too badly - you'll have to eat only white foods for 24 hours so you don't stain your teeth. I listened to my iPod during the procedure, which took about 2 hours.
