Mugged on Bergen

Not only is panhandling up in the area, but there was a mugging on Bergen between Hoyt and Bond. 4 guys, one an off-duty cop, were mugged at knife-point. Don't know if they caught the guy though. This happened Tuesday sometime around 11pm.

That is exactly where I live and this is the third mugging around Bergen & Bond I've heard of in the last month. When I moved in a couple of years ago, there was a noticeable police presence, but that died out last year.

I haven't noticed any pandhandling at all, though.
