My husband and I took my mom there yesterday for brunch. We loved it.
Very relaxed and the food was yummy.
I will be going back soon for dinner.
    Classic french.

Subject: A.O.C. Bistro (or whatever it's called) - Fifth and Garfield

Inedible tomatoes -- in August? Hard to believe, but they've got 'em, and they're cut in huge wedges in a sandwich. Baguettes that taste like they came from Key Food? They've got those, too (or maybe they're imported from Paris, TX). Decaf coffee? This they DON'T have. Why not? "French people," explained the waiter (huh?). This place is just awful. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I agree that the tomatoes are sliced in 4 pieces so therefore a bit big for some, but do not be so hateful, i guess for a mermaid you have no palatte for land food.....What did you have to eat?? You give us no clue and for the coffe, i own a coffeeshop in the city and we have no decaf, only heathens drink decaf!!!!!!! you are probably a disgrunted restaurant owner who's place is not doing well!!!

FWIW, La Sirena did give some very specific criticisms, despite not discussing exactly what s/he ordered.

I'm gonna merge this in with the preexisitng A.O.C. thread. For the record, the tomato conversation started in a sep. thread.

    Kaki -

My only involvement in the restaurant business is as a customer -- and one who must limit caffeine (or, as you put it, "coffe") for health reasons. If that makes me a "heathen," so be it. But do yourself a favor: if you're going to disparage someone's "palatte," learn to spell the word correctly, or you'll be running into others "who's" opinion of you is more than "disgrunted."
