The Wild One, Park Slope style

Was walking up 9th Street today when a freakin' MOPED GANG came up the street. Must've been about 40 of 'em, headed for the park. Sounded like a swarm of angry bees. Scary, I tells ya.

Yikes! Mopeds!

I saw them too! But much further away, crossing Flatbush I think --
we figured they were headed to the scooter shop in Gowanus for some kind of rally/throwdown . . .

Maybe also reminiscent of Quadrophenia ... mods, scooters ...

Don't be afraid! My bro owns a moped shop in Chicago and is a founder of the Chicago branch of the moped army, so i've met a bunch of the brooklyn moped people, and they are all really nice and a lot of fun. Next time you see 'em, don't be skeered! They're great. And if anyone is interested in getting a ped, send me a message and I will hook you up w/ my bro (or one of his NYC counterparts). BTW -- they are SO much cooler than Vespas

I don't see whats so scary about a bunch of people riding mopeds around town. i'm sure most the people are nice guys anyway.
if i had the cash i'd get one myself!
