so. my front windows are kinda window-seat esque. not deep or wide enough but significantly deeper than the average window, and also lower. in any case, there is this weird paste/caulking kinda between some bits, including around my A/C. Lupita thinks it's awesome to pick it out. I'm thinking this might not be so good. how do I make her stop?

If she's using her teeth, maybe put something bitter on it. So it tastes bad.

is the caulk mostly on the plane parallel to the floor? if so, you could put something on top of it for a while and hope she forgets about it.

(of course, it's likely she'd forget in favor of some aw3som3 new game, like turning on gas burners with her butt or something.)

One of my girls is terribly addicted to chewing wires. Since I don't really like the idea of her electrocuting herself, I tried a jillion things to try to discourage this behavior before discovering this stuff. It's the only thing that keeps her off them.

Oh, I am glad she stopped, A666. I used to work with a girl who came home from work to find her Great Dane puppy dead for the same reason.

oh! i need that bitter apple stuff! my boy cat has a real electric cord fetish -- i've put up barriers where i can, but he knows it always gets my attention, so he is determined.

can you buy it at normal pet stores?

I *think* so. The last time I got it I'm pretty sure it was from the Drs. Foster and Smith catalog online (look that up if you want to go apeshit on the cat spending sometime), but you could always try calling some pet stores to see if they have it.

It works like a charm so it's worth the shipping fee if you do have to get it online.
