florist in fort greene?

I'm looking for a place that would carry a nice bunch of wild flowers, but i can't think of any place that has any flowers.

suggestions? locations?

    maybe the florist on Fulton & Cambridge - havent been yet but looks as though they have a vast arry of product.

    A general observation -- I'm not certain what you mean by "wild flowers". It's my experience that commercial florists actually don't carry wildflowers in stock. Stuff that may look like some particular kinds of wildflowers, yeah, but not the specific kinds of flowers that are commonly accepted as "wild flowers".

    Unless you mean something different by wild flowers -- I always think of wildflowers being things like goldenrod, Queen Anne's lace, milkweed, etc.; stuff that you can get growing in vacant lots for free (which is why florists don't stock it). They may have other types of flowers that are wildflowers elsewhere in the country but aren't common here (Texas bluebonnet, etc.)

    ....This is turning into a botany lesson, which actually may not be helping you after all, so I'm going to stop now. :oops:

    or maybe just point me in the direction of your favorite vacant lot.
