In yesterday's NYT (UPDAED):
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/16/nyregion/thecity/16supe.html
NOT everyone who works in the Steve’s C-Town supermarket, on Ninth Street near Fifth Avenue in Park Slope, is a teenager. It can, however, seem that way to a customer, waiting in the long express line that curves toward the seltzer display and the frozen foods while the stock boys flirt with the cash register girls, the delivery guys lounge out front with their stereos on blast, and over in the corner somebody is mouthing off to a manager.
Pretty funny, but not entirely true...and does not really make this PS shoppery and different that anywhere else in the US.

Part of the C-Town vibe, if you ask me...but, let's not start that C-Town debate again ;)

No supermarket is perfect, but I'd like to know where one could find a better C-Town.

This is just so Bull! I have lived in Ps for 27 years and have seen every incrnation of what is now Steve's CTown. The staff is well trained and though mostly young women... the staff is respectful and efficiient. The few older women who work there are like to "Mommas" and they get respect form the fellow workers and the regular shopers!

I love this store.... and it is a sweet moment in the hood..

Boo on anyone who puts it down!
